are you pulling the trigger while pulling back on the bolt?
I have a 93R17 with a thumb hole stock and can't get the bolt out without taking the action out of the stock. The bolt lacks about an inch before it will come out. I was wondering if it could be the groove in the stock isn't long enough. Don

I have no problem getting the bolt out when the action is out of the stock but can't get it out when it's in the stock. Don
If the bolt's hitting the stock when you try to take it out then you've already answered your own question.

You might need some clearance in the stock where the back of the trigger assembly is
If you have the action out look in area at the back of inlet(below the back of the action
Stock is inleted for the trigger to fit but might need to be a little deeper--when you pull the trigger, bottom of trigger could be hitting
the stock
Hope this helps
