Went to my gunsmith today to drop off a stock and borrow a barrel wrench. Knowing I am a Savage nut he showed me a project he had just taken in.
It was a brand new Savage target action and an unchambered Krieger bull barrel with flutes. It is going to be a .218 Bee. Was a pretty cool looking build, although it seemed like a lot of action and barrel for not much of a round. On a side note I came home with the wrench and pulled my first barrel! I was lucky and got one of the ones that came right off. So now I have a RUM action stripped and ready to be turned into something big and loud, and a factory barrel and stock to sell.
