Savage 112 BVSS Varmint/Target Accutrigger stock??????

Does anyone make a "sporter style stock" for this? Looking for something more svelte and lighter.

I like the gun but that 50 lbs (exaggerated) laminate stock has got to go!

Lighten it yourself. Being laminate, you won't ruin any nice grain pattern (in fact, you will add a few more lines). I carved the hell out of my 12BVSS, including cooling slots like the old Competition rifle from the 90's. I'm really pleased how it came out.

Slimmed the forestock, but didn't take of any bottom width. Lowered the wrist area so my thumb reaches through and not "over" the pistol grip (not a thumbhole, just a much lower notch). Carved out the right side of the butt behind the pistol grip so my hand now settles inside the stock and my hand is more directly behind the grip. Slimmed the left side of the butt to bring my cheekweld closer to the boreline. Finally, I carved deep finger grooves into the grip that matches my hold perfectly. I took off perhaps a full pound of wood, but added 5 pounds of lead into the buttstock cavity :)

If you look carefully, you can see most of the modifications:
