scope ring height for my leupold

hey i have a savage model 110 300 win mag with ironsighter rings and base. the problem is that i bought the extra high extended scope rings for my leupold vxIII 3.5-10x50 and the scope sits a little over half an inch off the barrel. what size rings do i need to get this scope down where it is supposed to be? one has to be extended.

I believe the equation is (scope base + ring height)-(Bell diameter * 0.5)

So go pick out rings and punch them into this equation and they should tell you if the scope will fit with the particular setup you choose
