    bullet depth.

Just curious how far off the grooves do some of you set your bullets. I believe I have read from .01 to .02 yet I have also read that barnes bullets might like futher off -- .03. I have a 270 wsm and hope to use barnes, nosler and sierra game kings..

    Thanks.

Every gun/bullet is different. You won't know until you try.

"What they like" is different with each gun*
The caveat is what is acceptable to your task. Long ago I started following Lee's 1/32" off recomendation, and have never found a gun/bullet/load that WOULD NOT shoot sub MOA with it.
In my 1,000 yard loads with 175 SMK's I cut that in half. That makes my 100 yard groups look bad, but holds MOA at 1K.
I'm a firm believer in the theory that if it bleeds, I can kill it.
