    Well,
Berger rec's an 8-twist, but I would assume that is for 223 Vel's.
From what I have seen, due to the typical throat on a 22-250; You probably won't be able to beat the 223, at least by much in the velocity game with that bullet.
Give it a try, but I wouldn't be surprised if they won't stabilize.
I'm a firm believer in the theory that if it bleeds, I can kill it.

Muzzle velocity has very little to do with bullet stabilization. If the bullet does not have adequate rotation upon leaving the muzzle, velocity will not correct the problem. Pretty sure that most mfgs. put the reccommended twist rate for that caliber weight bullet (says nothing about cartridge) on the boxes. Use it as you would a reloading manual.

69 grain (definitely) to 75 grain bullets would be a better choice for a 1-9 twist barrel.

Shooter App shows 80gr Berger VLD @ 3100fps, 500' ASL and standard atmosphere, has a stability factor of 1.08.

    75gr VLD (which WILL stabilize in 9 twists) @ 3200fps is 1.18.

They did not stabilize in my 9 twist 22-250 at any speed.
