    Mcree stock question

For those that are running a McRee chassis, is the stock set up so the rear tang floats? Thanks.

    Re: Mcree stock question

I have one, and No, it's not floated. Actually, I chose the unfinished model since I thought about it, and wouldn't have wanted to lose the Cerakote integrity where removed.

Really, in this application, I'm not sure why you'd see any benefit. With a uniform channel, the entire receiver is fully supported, and the weight of the barrel would bias load toward the front, anyway. But maybe I'm missing something?

That said, it would be easy to trace the outline of the tang and slightly relieve the area. Or one could do a skim bedding.
