    pug in play triggers

hi i am looking for a new trigger for my savage that i will be using for hunting. the rifle dose not have an acu-trigger. what is my best value for triggers out there? how much time and effort will i have in installing the different triggers?
the stock trigger is about 8 lbs right now..... so it is kindof a drag to shoot

there a screw in the front of your trigger under the sear know?

this is a fuzzy picture of a striker handgun trigger.
you can just make out the front screw.

    Welcome to the site.
Your factory trigger has some adjustement to it. If you look in the FAQs section you will see how to adjust it.

i have already tinkered with the factory trigger and it is as good as it gets with out changing the pull weight spring.
is there anybody that makes an excellent after market drop in trigger? or would i be better off to play with a different spring for pull weight?

SSS (Sharp shooter supply) competition trigger is well regarded and very reliable. Lots of members use it here with great results. Rifle basix is another company which makes a drop in trigger.

I think that the term you are looking for is "Plug and Play", it refers to computer/electronic components that plug directly into the existing chassis and work right away. "Pug in play" refers to a small , smash-faced dog enjoying itself.

You can get a factory trigger tuned to an acceptable state but the SSS trigger is another step up. Very nice. I have them on three rifles now.
