Greetings All
Does any one know if the barrel on the Model 10 Precision Carbine in .308 has enough metal to be threaded for a suppressor? It's listed as "medium profile" on the Savage site.

5/8x24 for an AAC 762-SD muzzle brake/mount.
Hmmm....I would call Savage and ask for the muzzle diameter. 5/8 is a little on the big side of life.
you should have plenty of meat for it.
there should be enough meat there, just take it to whoever is going to thread it for you and he should be able to make the call.
According to Pat's write-up on the main website, the PC has a muzzle dia. of 0.770".

Should work. Go for the brake rather than the flash hider attachment for the AAC 762SD. I have a flash hider for my 762SD on my 24" barrel (10 FLP), and think a brake looks more suitable on a bolt rifle. Excellent suppressor.
Some sporter barrels are a challenge with 5/8"x24TPI and the 9/16"x24tpi works better. Either way, make sure you have a shoulder to seat the device against or you will run the risk of having a bullet strike due to misalignment of the suppressor.
