Can anybody give me a clue as to the value of one of these? Good condition and good shooter. No mods, as built at the factory.
A quick look at gunbroker shows them "listed" starting at $199 and up to 400. However, there is not a single bid on any of them at the moment. I would think that a really nice one (mint) would be around 300 max, with an average one, around 200-225...? Just my thoughts on it. As a buyer, I always try to figure in shipping costs and a transfer fee if needed which can add 50 to the price pretty easily.
$200-250 - worth what a decent shooting 30-30 is, no more.
Around here they seem to bring around $150.00 - $175.00 in average condition.
It's better to shoot for the moon and hit the fencepost than to shoot for the fencepost and hit the ground!
