striker very close to being complete

stock came on the big brown truck today!! everything is here now. below are the components with pictures and info.
the donor action is a SS large shank striker with a rifle basix SAV-2 trigger installed.

the barrel is a Krieger SS 9 twist #8 standard target

using center shot rifles Muscle brake
    (need to take picture still)
Reamer and go gauge from PTG and recoil lug from SSS

ordered the stock inleted for AICS mags, this one is from
    accuratemag

the stock is from XLR industries. Kyle and I went back and forth for a bit till I finally jumped in. took a bit longer than expected but it was well work it. these pics have my 6BRX barrel action in it until tomorrow.

there are some more pics on my photobucket account.

tomorrow the barrel should be threaded and chambered then installed, followed by threading for the brake.

Re: striker very close to being complete

This is a route I have been considering lately, but had an issue with finding an existing striker or making one from a new, unassembled receiver....

I am hoping/assuming that by using a new, unassembled action, that you are "manufacturing" a pistol with what would commonly be a rifle action?

Are any of the existing new target actions matches to the Striker action? Same mounting bolt locations, etc?

Eventually I'd like to make a 300 blackout pistol with about a 10-12" barrel but I'm still weighing my options when it comes to actions.....

Thanks for any advice or pointers, in advance!

No, from the pics, I'd say he is starting with a Striker action, right port, left bolt, kind of distinctive. Always a pistol.

But you can start with an undesignated target action and make a pistol. BUT, their not available in left bolt.

thats correct its a striker. shoots very well at that. I was getting roughly 1.25" 200 yard groups with the same load as my rifle. both barrels were cut with the same reamer. i was looking forward to load development but oh well

Very nice! I never thought to have XLR make a Striker stock. Good job thinking outside the box!

I like it! I have an XLR rifle stock which has worked well for me, now I may need to look into getting one for the Striker as well.

This may be a stupid question but is the Striker action Centerfeed Stagger feed or it's own bolt spacing?

Striker action is left bolt/right port, staggerfeed, blind magazine on a 4.275" bolt spacing, the old Savage short action. 510 is CM, 516 is SS. No sights, drilled for scope base, flat rear , round front.

BTWE, I'm looking for a 510 in 308 bolt size if anyone has one?
