    Attaching a bipod to Axis

Showing my ignorance here. I attached a Caldwell bipod to my Axis that clamps to the sling attachment. When tightened down, there is a space between the stock and what appears to be the the plate that the stock would rest. This is my first bipod, so I know nothing. Do I need to widdle a spacer for this or should it be this way to give some up and down pivot room?

I had the same issue with my Caldwell bipod. The problem is actually in the bipod it's self. The welds/rivets for the clamp are too wide to fit into the opening. I fixed this by opening up the area where the clamp goes into the bipod and it works like a charm now. Hope it helps.

That makes sense, I`ll give it a closer look.

At least I am not alone out here.
