    Accustock action screws

I have an 11 FCNS in .260 w/ the accutrigger and accustock (only 2 action screws). The barrel looks to be off center in the barrel channel and the action moves in the stock. The rear screw is loose and the front one is tight. The rifle is very new (less than 100 rounds down the tube) and I've never touched these screws before. I tried to "snug up the rear screw and it's stripped! Any ideas? Does the rear screw thread into the aluminum bedding or just into plastic? I really don't want to send the rifle back to Savage.

    Re: Accustock action screws

Look in owner's manual. It should show a rear trigger guard screw, a front trigger guard screw(which is the rear action screw) and a screw near the front of where the magazine would be( front action screw)

The rear trigger guard screw doesn't hold the action. Maybe the front action screw is loose. The one in front of the magazine well.
