    775A 16 gauge choke question

    I recently bought a mid 50's 775A. Where you usually find the choke stamped the only thing there are 3 stamped stars ***. could this possibly indicate what choke this is? Thanks

    * = Full (0.694")
    ** = Modified (0.710")
    *** = Improved Cylinder (0.720")
    **** = Cylinder (0.729")

    That said, I have a Model 30EL that dates to 1960 (5L) which has no asterisk(s) and it gauged out as a full choke.

    eelpout, what is your serial number?

    i have a model 775a witha super choke that dials to varying choke size with 4 word abreviated positions of choke and a line. . . screwed all the way down is full and as you screw the choke out it goes thru modified, improved, and cylander. . what i do not know is where to line the abreviation and line? with the sight bead? the reason i ask your serial number, i am trying to date mine.. . mine is 258694
