Yep. Flat, windy, dry, cactus, and large angry pdogs. Two 300wm's ready to role. ;D I still maintain it is a wonderful pdog cartridge. Really great when they are in nice close groups.

::) It's a nice cartridge, sure, but is it really enough gun? You might want something bigger. Large, angry game like that can be downright dangerous!

Anything less than a 458 Win Mag will just pi$$ off a charging bull p-dog.

Seriously, I am jealous. Been wanting to go p-dogging for years. Good luck and good shooting to you.

They're all over the eastern side of town, the Gander Mountain in Aurora is almost over run. If a guy had a nice, quiet pellet gun...

I may just have to take you up on that in the near future. Having someone already there that has been there - done that would be a huge asset and I am sure would make the trip much more enjoyable.

We just had our first PD hunt of the season in south central Wyoming Saturday. Only got to shoot until around 1:00 PM and had quite a bit of wind. Only managed to get eighty or so. We may have to look for another ranch to hunt if it doesn't get any better than that.

    Just what I wanted to hear. ;D ;D ;D

This is going to be a good trip. Counting down the days.

Just can't decide if a 325 gr FTX out of my 458 will be enough, or if I am going to be forced to load up some 500gr solids for those Rampant Bull P-Dogs.

Actually we are going mostly out east of the Springs area. No huge towns but enough to keep you shooting a while most times.

Re: CO & WY Prairie Dogs

Got the hotel booked last night, and ordered the last few items i was in need of (they better be here in time ::)). Now just got to finish up the last of my loading and give the car an oil change and should be all set.

Still have to pack up the rifles but I probably won't do that until the day before anyway.

    Counting down the days.

Re: CO & WY Prairie Dogs

Just finished up loading the Ammo for my 243AI and some for the 223 WSSM. I don't normally load 300+ rounds in one evening, I think my arm is going to let me know about it in the morning, still got at least 200 more to go, but its all part of the fun. At least this will let me fireform the rest of my brass to the AI chamber, and have a great time doing it .
