    Speaking of .270 Winchester....

Anyone using IMR 4895 on anything in their .270?

I happen to have a few cans of it was going to give it a try with some Hornady HPBT 110gr Match bullets.

I already tried the 110's with 4064 & it seems they work best at the upper end of the range (higher charge / higher velocity). I've had 3 pounds of 4895 for about 2 years with nothing to use it in.

    Anyone?

For 110gr bullets and IMR4895 Hodgdon lists a starting load of 46gr for 3040fps and a max of 50.2grs for 3269fps. Hope that helps.

    Re: Speaking of .270 Winchester....

Thanks Matt but, I have that info. I was wondering if anyone here at Savage Addiction Central has used it in the recent past & how it acted. My .270 seems to like slower powders like H4831 for 130's & up. I've never used it with 110's.

Thanks anyway. I got the listing from the Hodgiee manual, too. I'd be lost without it sometimes cause it's always got what the other book doesn't....
