Concerning copper cleaner. I read where a guy took a bunch of pennys from the 1970's ( very high copper content) and glued them to a piece of cardboard. He tested all the different copper cleaners he could get his hands on. After a 24 hour test all the pennys had nothing more than the tarnish removed from the surface except for one, that was the one he used the KG brand copper remover on, it actually pitted the penny.
Wanting to know the above was not just internet hype I did the eact same test with about eight different bore cleaners. I had the same results, only KG copper cleaner actually pitted the copper penny.
Get rid of cable and get KG copper cleaner.

Did you test them on stainless and on carbon steel to make sure kg doesnt effect the steel in any way?

They state it is harmless to stainless or steel, but should not be used on Nickel plated items.
