    LONG TARGET ACTIONS?

Does or has Savage ever made a Right Bolt/Right Port Target Style Action in a Long Action configuration?

I've got an extremely accurate 110FP .308 build and want to build an extremely accurate LA in 30-06AI or 300WM and figured the extra strength the larger more rigid receiver offered might help?

Kind of. The 338 Lapua's are basically a long action target action. You have to buy the whole rifle though.

    Re: LONG TARGET ACTIONS?

OK... the 110FCP HS 338 has the RBRP configuration while the 110FCP HS in 300WM and .308 simply have the standard LA and SA...at leaast thats what Savages website pics look like...the 110FCP HS in 338 LM also has DBM...so would swapping the 338 LM bolt out for a magnum bolt work for the action? Seems like a long way around to get where I'm trying to go...

Ideally I'd like to get the RBRP LA and a Manners/McMillan stock

Also the RBRP action is Large Shank correct?

    Re: LONG TARGET ACTIONS?

    Capt,

Both the -06 and 300WM can be built on a Short-Target-Single-Shot Action with the only "issue" to overcome is that you would have to remove the bolt to remove a live round. Somebody correct me if I am wrong but I know it will work that way on a regular short action.

I think the FCP HS does not use the Target style action. It looks like it uses a regular style action.

Found better pictures. They all use the same action.
