Newbie Question

I'm fairly new to the Savage world. I've picked up 3 in the past year, but mostly for builds. I've almost completed my 6.5-284 (just decided to do a lighter contour) and have started on a 338 ultra mag. I've ran into a magazine length issue on the ultra mag. Any advice on this issue would be appreciated. Thanks

I have no experience with the ultra mag but there others who have built that caliber so someone will chime in. Welcome to the forums!

my gunsmith buddy had to take to magazine boxes, cut them and welded them to the proper length for my 338 lapua Improved, worked great

You may get lucky and find a RUM mag if you search some auction sites, or even put a want-to-buy ad on this site.

Other wise you are going to be limited to single-shot unless you are handy at fabricating.
