.223 extractor for reaching into the small head
I bought a Striker already converted to 300WSM. I couldn't chamber a round and found the extractor was protruding into the boltface too far to allow the cartridge rim to push it aside. I filed a ramp but it is still not perfect. I believe the standard bolt face was opened to accommodate the magnum cartridge head {based on the location of the ejector}, but the extractor wasn't modified. Should I continue to grind the extractor, get a new extractor, or get the proper bolt head? I plan to get some more barrels {.308, 7BR, .22PPC} because I love shoostin the thing!
BTW-the green looking stuff is grease that I put on after deer season.
Thanks!
Ben
