I finally figured out how to post pics.... I think.

A weekend shooting my new (to me) 25.06. These were the best of the OCD rounds I put together. I really, really like that Edge. Lousy stock & all. What a fun gun to shoot or modify. Also, the second day I had adjusted the trigger again. First day I cut 3 coils off the spring. Still too hard.... Second day I cut 1.5 more coils off & it's much better. I don't need a pry bar to pull the trigger. No kidding - that trigger had to be all of 15lbs BEFORE the first spring trimming..
All pics are targets shot at 100yds on a windy day. The tropical storm (Beryl?) that the local weather guys kept saying wouldn't affect our area.... The wind was gusting to 30 - 35 from 2 directions at times.
    This is Nosler 85gr w/ 55.6gr of H4831

    here's 54gr of H4831 with a 117gr SST

And here's the 'lil jewel that made those holes...

All in all it was 2 days of fun shooting that new Edge 25.06. The photo is Pre-Frankified. It's still got the erector set bipod & cheap scope. I put a Walmart / Winchester bipod on it & replaced the scope with a different cheap Bushnell I had. The first day the rifle seemed a little "off". I guess it needed a few rounds thru it. The second day, even in the wind, it was pretty accurate. All shots are off a bench / bipod with a sandbag under the stock.
Lastly, Winchester brass still sucks. About 1/3 of my NEW 25.06 cases have split necks. 1 of the new cases blew a primer out. When I looked at the pocket, I can see it's slightly oval..... Way to go Winchester..... Again

I can't wait until I can load up my final loads for the 85's & 117's and shoot it again. After the stock mods I did, it's actually fun to shoot. I do need to come up with a better scope. I got Midway's sale paper today....... Hmmmmm....

Gotta go. Working in the office kinda late today.

Very nice shooting, I'm glad you like your Axis. I've had mine for 2 weeks now, except mine is a 223. I tried cutting the trigger spring but it was still too stiff. I replaced mine with one from the hardware store, it made a big difference. I've had several comments from people at the range when they see the axis, and all are positive. I let a few people shoot it and they quickly asked where I bought it at. Mine is very accurate and I've been using federal 55g from wally world. I have about 100 rounds through it so far and the trigger has improved quite a bit and the bolt is exceptionally smooth. Good luck with yours, it only gets better as it breaks in.

I noticed it shot better the second day & the 2nd day was windier than the 1st. I'm extremly happy with mine. I hated it at first but I've grown to enjoy it.
After a better scope, bipod, stiffen the stock & some reloads, it's on the money.

Glad you like yours too. I think we'll both find it'll settle down after a few million rounds thru it.
