magazine "L" clip

hello all, Just got my new boyds laminate stock for my stevens 200, getting ready to fit things together. I am wondering if i can get rid of the L clip and "bed" the mag into the stock? i am not to crazy about that clip being sandwiched between the stock and action. i am sure somebody here has tried it.

when I needed to change stocks a couple of years ago, I just searched the site and found good info.

Sorry, don't have the thread handy, but bet it will not be to difficult to find.

nevermind!! the nice guys at boyd's have already inlet the stock for the L clip and it fits perfectly! 20 seconds with the dremmel doing a little sanding in the front of the well and the mag fit very nice and snug. now off to the range, see how she shots and go from there. to bed or not to bed!! we will see!
