    Savage 116 value?

Found a Savage 116 with accutrigger, damaged (useable) syn stock, SS, 300WM, detatch mag, w/brake. He's asking $450

    Is this reasonable?

pretty good deal if you ask me.......especially if it's the new centerfeed detachable mag.

great rifle to start with for just about any project

    Got pics of the damage?

That's how much I paid for mine but it also came with a Nikon Prostaff scope.

I would want to know how the stock got damaged, how bad is it? I would look that sucker over real carefull. You don't want to make a $450 mistake.

guy wanted more weight for recoil control

Epoxy and lead shot made for a terrible balanced rifle. He started to dig it out, but gave up

If that is the extent of the damage, go for it

go for it. You can always buy another synthetic stock from Northlander here in the advertizers section for about $50.
