it is not new but in good condition
It's not a really "good" deal, but it is a very fair deal for both parties. I'd buy it.
i may pass on it i found a Nice M69 trainer for 135$ thats tempting me to.... thanks for all the info guys
im buying the savage i figured since the scope is new and the gun is at 95%+ its good deal im going to paint a custom sniper pattern on it later today

Check around to see if you can find an aftermarket trigger for it.
If you're comfortable with doing a little bit of disassembly & reassembly, the Savage MkII trigger job (for non-accutrigger models) is simple and effective. There is lots of information on it, and a seriously sweet trigger results. Cost = some brass (possibly salvaged form an old 30-06 casing or similar) and a spring from a ball point pen.
I just got a non-accutrigger model F myself, and it is a tack driver, even with the as-yet-unmodified trigger. It will only get better.
By the way, the "trigger job" will take you around 20-30 minutes, and can give you a trigger pull measured measured in single-digit ounces, if you wish.
