    from 223 to 260?

is it possible to rebarrel my 12 flvss in 223 rem to 260 rem?
looks like there's a shim at the back of the mag well. is it removable?

if it's doable, what would be all the part needed for the project?

    Yes.

You will need to switch out the bolt head. Don't know If your rifle is a center feed but if it is I think I would just buy a magazine box and follower for the 260 rather than altering the 223 box.

Yup, Just pop the whole mag box off with a screwdriver. Stick the flat screwdriver between the action and the end of the mag box, twist the driver and gently pull the mag box off. Then just pop on the one for the 260 and you're all set.

260 is a great cartridge. My LRP loves 139gr Scenars pushed by 40.7 gr of H4350. It' sub .3 with this load.

That link is to an ad in the classifieds here. Unfortunately, the ad doesn't state whether it's a left or right hand bolt, which usually means it's right handed. You'd be looking for a left hand bolt that fits the 308 based cartridges, like this one:

PTG also makes lefty bolt heads. You can switch all the other parts from your 223 bolt, if you don't want to order those too.
