finally settled on the gun i want, the wife is buying me one for my birthday next month. So she told me to call the local gunstore and get her a price. So i call em up and tell em exactly what i want from savages website, 114 Classic, hinged floorplate, wood stock, blued finish, 300winmag. The guy tells me it's NLA. he says it's an old model, but it's still on savages website, is he blowing smoke because he doesn;t have one? or is this true? he said he could get the american classics but i don;t want a Detachable mag. thanks for any insight.

i finally started branching further and further out, i contacted a fairly large gun dealer thats about 2 hours away, they chkd their distributor and found ONE left. They ordered and i paid. Every other place i called checked all their distributors and had no luck. glad i found one
