Yes, with a dremel tool and a mill bit. This stock is a Boyds thumbhole. If you go slower than I did you can probally lessen the gaps between metal and wood, but it works.
Hi can you cut the bottom out a blind mag stock and turn it into a detachable box set up?
Thanks Dean
RUMs are like woman in Stiletto heals, you know they are going to put you in the poor house, but that has never stopped anyone from pursuing them.

where did you get your bottom metal?Originally Posted by snowgetter1
Yes I want to do the same thing. Can you do a step by step please?
Bottom metal came from a centerfeed 300 wsm accustock. I just put the Stevens internal box mag onto the bottom piece of the bottom of the 300 detachable mag. I started with clamping the bottom metal in place and scribing the outline on the stock. Then using the mill bit just kept eating away at the wood until it fit while checking for operation/feeding. I also had to remove some wood from under the trigger guard to fit the bottom metal in.
Hope this helps.
You could bed the mag well and it would look normal.Originally Posted by snowgetter1
