New (to me) Savage .308 BAS-K, a few Q's

So I have a trade lined up for this weekend and if it goes well, I will be the owner of a pretty nice BAS-K. I am curious as to what mags these take aside from the obvious ones from Savage? I have heard that Badger mags will work? Also, it appears to be a first gen from the pics I have seen. It has a Magpul PRS but it is the AR PRS and not the G3, I have read that using the AR one makes for some funny ergonomics(i'm 6'2 and a whopping 160-165 lbs) Any truth to that? I may go with a XLR if it doesn't work for me, what about getting a G3 PRS, would that help if I have a problem?

A good friend has a BAS-k. His did not come with the Mag-Pul, so he ordered one and installed it. It was extremely long for both of us. We are both 5'11". He shortened the stock mount and it fits much better!

By the way, you're going to love that rifle!
