what is firing pin protrution supposed to be?

I recently changed a bolt head on a short action and need to know what is the correct firing pin protrusion??

Did you go from what to what? What action?
I went from 223 bolt to a wsm bolt and had to get a new pin

You adjust the firing pin to shorten or lengthen it. Mine was a short action in .308 and now it is .223.
