Savage 338 Lapua interesting facts

I have been tweeking my FCP 338 lapua and have discovered a few facts I would like to pass along

The bolt body is a standard long action and that means you can use one of the PTG bodies Midway sells ( they do wonders for the action feel.
hole spacing is 5.062 same as a long action
standard bolt handles fit
standard replacement triggers fit
In fact the only difference i can see is the inside if the receiver where the bolt lugs mate and the bolt head/baffle. which means you can't convert a standard long action without major mods but most stuff for a long action will work on a lapua action.

You probably already know this - 338 edge is just a shade faster and brass is a LOT cheaper. I didn't realize that until a few days ago.
