Help with fit of Boyds stock in Stevens 200 Centerfeed SA Stock

Are there any differences in a Stevens 200 CF action that would or could cause installation problems? Having problems fitting Boyds stock to my (Stevens CF SA) action. Seams like it is at the magazine-Needs to be deeper. (I know the trigger is different-but thought in a thinner way Vs Accu-Trigger)

Well, to prove if it is the magazine just try it with just the barreled action and see if it fits.

Would you by any chance be trying to fit a CF action into a stagger feed stock? Or, did you remove the CF magazine from your other stock and install it in the Boyds. Tell us what is happening? Is it that the CF magazine wont go into the stock?

Stevens SA CF, Boyds stock Savage 10 CF
I have filed down the Fwd Mag bump, light sanded around the well. Mag OK now I think.
The main problem is my fwd action screw is too short and a rear screw used at front is too long, I need to cut down a rear screw to size.

You can get 1/4X28 replacements at Ace Hardware. They'll have to be ground to fit in most cases.

That is the answer. New bolts are required.

Not too keen on the "L" bracket that retains the rear of the mag and sandwiches between the action and the stock. Wish the stock/action was flush.
May have to pillar it in the future and maybe trim the L back some. Have heard it discussed but never done. (pillars)

Thanks for the Ace Hardware tip also!!
