I don't know about AI mags, but you should have a look at alpha mags, 10 round capacities and cheaper:

fits in the CDI bottom metal and is also shorter than a standard AI mag.
Can someone tell me which 10-round AI mag will work in a Savage model 10 .308 center feed with CDI bottom metal? I see two models listed, 3902 and 0726. I'm not sure which one I will need. Any guidance will be appreciated.
Thanks

+1 on the Alpha mags. I just received the 4 I ordered for my 6.5x47 repeater. I was impressed with the attention to detail in these magazines. I even ran my finger on the inside of the feed lips to feel for any roughness that might score the brass. None found; smooth as glass. The followers are a self-lubricating plastic that slide in the mag like they are on roller bearings.

I think you guys are right, those look like the better choice. Thanks for the replies.
