...How about 43.5grs of H4350 under a 85gr Sie. HPBT-GK...It'll drop groundhogs to whitetails...

Hornady 87gr vmax with 41grs of H4350 worked well in mine.

I also had good results with varget.

Will you be loading for varmints, big game, target or long range? Depending on the intended use there are plenty of choices. Check as many loading manuals as you can and know that every gun is different and will have its' own preferences for components. It can be frustrating and rewarding at the same time!

Well I mainly be loading for pdogs and yotes but I'd take it on the occasional deer hunt

I have the Predator Hunter Max-1 and my pet load is the 87gr. V-Max over 36.0 gr. of Varget. Shoots about .4 MOA. Also had similar accuracy and a little bit more velocity with 36.0 gr. of H4895. Zapping P-dogs at 500 yards is almost boring.....almost.

ETA: I'm not sure what the effects of the V-Max would be on deer. You may want to check out the Sierra 80gr. SP, or the Hornady 100gr. Interlock. While I have yet to shoot a deer with either, they've both been very accurate, as well.

40grs H380. Not hot. Easy on barrel and shooter.

I load 87 grain v-maxs over 36.5 grains of varget with my factory savage barrel and get 1/2" 5 shot groups without even trying. I also load 85 grain partitions over 38 grains of varget for my deer load and it shoots around 3/4" groups.

    +1 on this load/bullet.

This bullet and powder will be a one size fits all. The Game king was designed as a deer bullet, but I can tell you from personal experience, it will do a number onanything else it hits too. Just don't plan on keeping hides from yotes, unless you can sew leather real well.

This bullet was deadly accurate in my Savage 243, you will not need to switch loads.

However, if you do switch, I would not go with the corlokt, I would move up to the 90-95gr partition, ORRRR go with the Barnes 80gr TTSX or the 85gr TSX. My point being, the GameKing will do anthing the corlokt will, and if ya want to move up in bullet strength, go with a proven construction like the Nosler or Barnes. Within 300yds you will most likely not recover either of the last bullets.

If you want a single, go to bullet, that will never be too little, construction wise, I'd go Barnes 80-85gr and never swap loads. The Sierra, is a lot lower priced bullet though.

+1, I used a similar load for years and never had a deer run very far, if at all.

87gr vmax over 37.1 gr of IMR 3031 in remmy cases. They run right over 3200 fps in a 26" barrel. Heres the results at 400 yds.

3 shot group on bags at 400 yds. This was the best group of the day at 400 with the rest avging 3".

Airaddict, since the shots are through a "yellow sticky" you should move it so that the shots are on top of the x-ring of a target. ;D
    Nice shooting +1
