Anyone use Alliant Power Pro 2000-MR?

A guy I bought an action off told me he uses Power Pro 2000-MR exclusively now for his .223 and .308 heavy bullet loads and that he gets great acuracy and higher velocities than with the usual powders (Varget, H335, etc.). Does anyone else have experience with this powder?

Hey torch. I bought a pound of it. I also got some varmit powder for my 223 build didnt have much luck with it. I've only used 2000-mr in the 6mmAI fireforming cases. Shot nice groups with it. It meters great in the chargemaster.

I have burned up close to 16lbs. of it mostly in my 260ai. I use it for 95g up to 140g bullets. Getting about 2900th fps with 43.5g with 140 amaxs an remington 308 cases necked down in my 28 cbi.

Gonna try it in my new 6br barrel when I get my brass.

Worked up to 33.5g of MR2000 in my 6br with 87g Vmax. 26" 9twist Green Mountain blank we chambered and threaded.

Didn't get velocity yet as my chronograph wouldn't give a reading.

Hey Torch! Good to hear from you. Here is a 10 shot group I did today at 500 yards on a 7 inch T1 steel swinger. Yeah, I had a flyer... missed the wind let-up. It's what keeps me humble. I was at Liberty Hill 1000 yard range last week and had a blast hammering the small round swingers at 1000. Let me know if you need any Target Cam support.

Hey nice shooting Ken. I am still working on getting out to Liberty Hill. Been so busy lately. Currently finishing up a 300 RUM build. Still haven't used the action I got off you yet. :-) I am going to be making a trip down to Bexar soon to get some powder. The Power Pro 2000 looks promising.

If you want, I can make the run for you and meet at Cabelas again. Let me know if I can help. It's only 15 min from me. The only day that is not good is this next Sat. I've got a match on that day. You're welcome to come shoot it if you want.
