Who carries those large bolt handles?

    Thanks Dean

    Re: Large Bolt Handles

-the ones Midway sells are the Savage factory handles.

-The ones that TacticalWorks sells are the SSS handles.

-Brownells sells both Savage factory handles AND Stockade handles.

heres link to Stockade handles from Brownells that are in stock at this time:

Are the midway ones larger than the ones I have on my stevens, what model are they from, the law enforcement ones like the FCP series.

    Re: Large Bolt Handles

They sell both the smal and large handles, but yes, the larger ones are bigger than the Stevens handles.

They are off of the Law Enforcement, varmint, and Target models.

I have bought 6 from midwayusa and they are standard savage large target style handles.
Have to snag them when they get in since they never get more than a handfull at a time.

Or, send your handle off to Phoenix Custom Rifles for a knob install. Scroll down to the 4th or 5th post to see some
Savage examples. I bought a couple "Phoenix" knobs for my Nesika Bay actions and really like them. Keith can customize them too, talk to him if you have idea's for something custom you'd like.

    Re: Large Bolt Handles

Hi got some from Savage directly, they ask for a serial number and since mine is a steven's build they can't or won't crossreferance, so to make it easy for every one here are the part numbers for the large bolt handles, like you would get on a varment or law enforcement series rile.

    106197 stainless steel $27.00

    106194 matte black $27.00

Please notice the date on the thread posts. That link is from early 2012.
As was stated in this old thread, you can purchase them directly from Savage or from Midwayusa, although they are currently out of stock at Midway.
Do a search for that number at the Midwayusa web site to find them.

I really like the D. D. Ross bolt knob I got from Brownells. Very good ergonomics and added leverage.

Here is the Glades Version on a Rifle so you can see how big it is.

Just changed it out for the Dark Eagle as I like the feel of it better.
