    7rm to 7stw

Is the mag bolt safe? Could a centerfeed magazine be modified or purchased?

Yes the bolt head will be safe. With a centerfeed magazine you should be able to cut out a notch in the front of the magazine box for the bullets to stick through. The opening in the bottom of the receiver is long enough that it should feed that way. I've checked and a 300 Weatherby round, which is roughly the same length as the STW, will fit through the mag opening in the bottom of a centerfeed receiver.

Thanx for the reply. I thought that the magazine could be easily modified from what I had read on a previous post. It Looks like there is only a minimal gain in ballistics from the 7rm to the 7stw maybe not enough to bother with the increased cost and wait for parts and reloading?

I'd say it's worth it. The STW is at least 200fps faster and in some cases more.
