I think it's a great idea, but I don't know if the silly string will stick well enough. If you use a spray can and keep a good flow, it may just work. Try it on a scrap piece of wood and see how it goes.
I think that I have came up with a way to paint my stock but I need some thoughts. I want to paint my stock OD green with black webs. I was thinking that I might try to do something different, what if I were to paint the stock black and then use Silly String as my pattern for the webs and then apply the green? I haven't heard of anyone else doing this but I thought that it would make good and random patterns for the webs. Maybe, this is a Silly idea though :D. I guess if this won't work, I might go back to the idea of am stripes.

I believe it is krylon that sells webbing paint. I've used it a few times and the finish product looks just like the webbing on a B&C stock.
