It should be a 1-10 twist, you can check it with a tight borebrush, cleaning rod , masking tape, and tape measurer.
so this is my first post as I have just come into the savage world..anyhoo..I just recently bought a savage model 10fcp at Dicks sporting goods...the guy claimed it was a model made especially for their store..it has a desert tan stock and a 22" heavy fluted bbl..oversized knob etc...assuming he was telling the truth does anyone know the twist rate on this? I was guessing 1 in 10 since the barrel is on the shorter side...I can't find one anywhere like it on the www..the barrel does say model 10 tho just not the fcp part...any insight would be greatful

99.99999% sure its a 10 twist. All other model 10 savage 308s are 10 twist. Does the stock have an aluminum bedding? Is the bolt release in the trigger guard? Just curious...
no clue about the bedding...and the bolt release isn't in the trigger guard its up top on the side of the bolt towards the back
Is it the 10fcp-xp by chance? That's what mine was from dick's. Fluted 20" barrel. It had an all plastic stock. Changed it out immediately...
not an xp as far as I know but its 22" not 20
I cant find these in stock at any of the Dick's but when I do Im gonna buy it. What should i expect to pay?
