I have no idea, but I am sure they probably just use a bore sight tool.
You need to sight this in at a real range before even thinking of using it on some game.
i was wondering at what distance does savage arms bore sight their package series rifles?

it was just a question , i know to zero a new rifle in before going hunting.
Who said they bore sighted them?
it says they do on the savage arms website, do a little research.
Do you believe everything you read? I've never seen a collimator (bore sight) grid scaled to anything but 100 yards. Of course they could be doing it with a laser at 30 yards. Or just doing it the old fashioned way of "sighting down the bore" at an object and aligning the reticle. They don't say.
that's what i was wondering, anyway i sighted my 270 in today and it was a 1"low and 2" to the left
that is at 25 yards
Savage uses a collimator in the muzzle and a video camera that attaches to the eyepiece of the scope. The picture is displayed on a monitor.

...Get ready for it to blow over the back board at 100yds..lol..Better have a big piece of cardboard for a backer...so you can see where it goes..Originally Posted by wes32
