    116 7mm STW

Today I saw a 116 7mm STW in a local gun store. It was non accutrigger synstock and had a very long barrel. I could not measure it but it was setting beside a 16 7MM WSM and the barrel was at least 4 inchs longer than the WSM. It was push feed and small shank. It looked like new for $449.00. Does anyone know how rare these are and how many they made, I've never seen one?

Sounds like it has investment value...a rarity with a newer savage.

I'd like to find one of those!!! How much longer is the action than a normal long action?

They're not longer. Just the magazine opening and box are longer. The outside dimensions of the receiver are the same.
