    No they do not.
7.62x39 takes a different bolt head that Savage does not make. The 7.62x39 barrels are not 30 cal.

This is true for most but not always. A real 7.62x39 is a .310 bore but some companies make their barrels for a .308 bore. I have 2 AR-15 uppers and one is a .311 bore and one it a .308 bore. Still it would take someone to make you a bolt head before you could make it out of a savage.

Here Is Mine I Call It a 30X39 Rather Than a 7.62X39 I Don't Shoot The Cheepo stuf Out O It I Used a 223 Bolt Head and Opened It Up You Can Buy The Bolt Head It Is The same as The PPC , My Barrel Is a 22 Inch Shaw I Bought a Blank and I Chambered and Threaded It , Claymore Built The Reamer For Me With a .307 Pilot and The Barrel Is also a .308 DIA 1-12 Twist , It Is Very Accurate and Very Small Boom No Kick The Hrandkids Love It and It Was Fun To Built DD

I was gonna mention the PPC bolt face, but instead I will just subscribe to see what happens. Just got an AR in 7.62x39 with a 1/10 twist to try out some stuff.

I didn't think about the ppc bolt face. I do remember that some one else asked this question before and that was recommended by another member. If you want to get the best accuracy out of your 7.62x39 you will either need to roll your own or buy good ammo. Both of my ar uppers will shoot sub moa out to 200 yards with handloads.
