When cryo seemed to be the rage, I read pros and cons as to the effects on the barrel and whether it actually worked. Not a lot heard about it now.

If I remember right .22rf benefited the most. others were hit and miss if it helped. I think it did help the ones that the POA shifted with the first couple shots.

It can't hurt the barrel, give it a shot and let us know.

    calib,

all my barrels ( 10....not factory) are "frozen" by 300 below in Ohio, ( Kathie Fisher).

it's like moly, some think it's the greatest, the rest think it's a waste of money.

I have spent $40-$50 ( per barrel) on worst things.

can't coment on accuracy, but they sure clean up nice

sure, start with enough Liquid nitrogen to cover the bottom of the freezer and deep enough to cover all barrels! Let us know when your ready. we can send our barrels and you can add them to the batch before all your nitrogen evaporates!

Be sure to wrap thoroughly to prevent freezer burn.

Thought best results were when they did it BEFORE the barrel was bored and rifled? Anyway - it went out of fashion several years back so it must not have been THAT great. Nitride is the new wonder treatment - we will see how long it stays around before people go back to the wonders of bear grease...
