    Savage 110 30-06 Heavy Barrel--where can I get one???

Hi All. New to the forum and a newbie at all of this. I tried searching this forum for a topic and was a bit overwhelmed. ???

Can anyone point me in the right direction to where I can pick up a heavy barrel for my 110 30-06? I'm not looking to spend a ton; as this isn't going to be a show piece. Thanks for any advice.

If I wanted a nice barrel for the money I would look at Gunshack right now.
They have a few from the 7.62 special order left. The drop down menu shows 308, 30-06, and a 300 Win Mag. These are varmint taper, small shank, SS barrels from ER Shaw for $158.00.

If I didn't have something else in mind Iwould snatch a 300 Win Mag for a long range build, but a 7mm is on my mind at the moment.

Sharp Shooter's Supply offers barrels for Savage rifles in pretty much any contour and length your want. Douglas barrels from them start about $325.

ER Shaw offers Savage barrels also in various weights, lengths and finishes for either side of $200.

I bought a pre-fit bull barrel from McGowen Barrel for less than $300. Gunsmith charged $60 to install. It's a 30" stainless bull with target crown. Not bad in my opinion...
