I have found it easier to have different bolts for different size bolt heads.

So looks like i have to buy all the parts from midway and build my own..
Its about $33 for the head & ejector/extractor parts total, not bad & you can build 3 extra bolt heads for the price of the complete bolt assembly at $99 or so. Midway is always running out of the small parts though, right now they are out on 2 of the parts you would need.Originally Posted by parkj5
Thanks guys a list for us new savage guys would be nice. Thanks for all your help.
Couple of months ago I went and ordered a bench stock of bolt parts. Ended up costing about 150$ but have enough bolt heads, springs, detents , extractors to build three complete extra bolt heads ( 1-223 and 2-308) and still have replacement parts. It sucks having a rifle down for a week or two because you need a 1$ part.
Midway has them listed all together pretty much under savage 110 gunparts.Originally Posted by parkj5
Here's a list. Just make sure you get a long action bolt head. All the other parts will work on any bolt head.Originally Posted by parkj5
