A buddy of mine picked up a used hornet from a store. After he had it home he noticed some marks on the very back of the chamber (where the back end of the barell is cone shaped). Apparently someone got a case stuck in the chamber and tried to pry it out with something. Now there are some sharp burrs on the very back where the rim of the case sits against. Also there must be some burrs pushed into the chamber because he was getting some scratches on the brass.

We are thinking he can stone the burrs off with something or take it to his gunsmith to do that. I would think you can't take too much material from that surface or it could change the head space.

Are these barrels threaded in ? The ideal way to fix this would be to take the barell off but I don't think that is something that we could do ourselves ??
