    223 problems ejecting

I have a Stevens 200 and a model 12 that will not always eject the shell out of the action, having it fall onto the top of the magazine. Is this normal of the 223 case and if not what do I need to fix it. Is it simply the rod on the bolthead or is there anything behind it that needs to be replaced

Check you extractor to see if its worn or chipped, this was my issue on 2 Savage .223s that the case was dropping inside , replaced along with a new ball under them and they pop out normal now.
Check your ejector also to see it ifs plunging good.
