    Model 14 rebarrel


    Are there any limitations other than cartridge length when rebarreling a Model 14 Savage. This is a new rifle, presently chambered in .250 savage? Also, what are the shank demensions and thread of the barrel? TIA

    Buy another rifle to tinker on. lol. It kills me to see that rifle defaced.

    Thanks for all the info, I'll just deface the one I got. Besides I won't deface it much, I figured on filing some flats on the barrel nut and use a 4" pipe wrench to loosen it, that is of course after I've heated the nut and chamber area cherry red with the torch, just to loosen it. LOL

    its a small shank and 20tpi threads, I am pretty sure your rifle wants to be a 250ai
