    New Savage Build Done

I sent Keith and Brad of Phoenix Custom Rifles a box of parts, and they sent me back a masterpiece.

    It's a .243 built for the Dtacs.

    Build components as follows:

    Manners T4
    Savage LRP Target Action
    Bartlein barrel from CSTactical
Atlas with ADM mount from Triad Tactical
    Vortex Viper from Liberty Optics
    Tactical Muscle Brake
Phoenix Knob from Phoenix Custom Rifles
    Alpha Mag from Triad Tactical
    CDI bottom metal

All that is missing is a Large Stock Pack from Triad Tactical.

I want to thank PCR for doing such an amazing job. Keith and Brad went out of their way to be helpful and were in constant contact informing me of the build status along with sending pictures. I would highly, highly recommend PCR for any work you need done.

    Enough talk, on to pictures:

The only regret I have is not getting better glass. I'll be saving for a PST after SHOT

    Thats sweet!.. Nice build.

Would they have kept the barrel nut if you wanted?

Yes, but I like the look of the LRP without a nut. When it's time for a new barrel, I will probably have the nut installed for convenience.

Nice rifle, I like your style! I too lost the barrel nut on my 30-06 with manners t5a stock. If I was building a short action, it would end up just like the one you have built. That lrp action has alot going for it. Did the gunsmith have to trim off any of the feed ramp in order to get cdi bottom metal to feed right? That has been a real hassle with my 30-06.

No sir, CDI worked fine right out of the box. I have two CDIs and they both work great.

I am not sure I would like that sharp edge on the cheak of the stock. Might ruin my handsome face.
