I know this is a dumb question. Is it possible to change a CF rifle to SF? I have a Stevens with CF and loading is PIA.

I sold all my CF's for that reason, plus you can just toss in a round on the bench with a SF's. I feel your pain. I mean I felt your pain.

You can take your reciever to a competent gunsmith and he will measure and cut the notches in your action for the staggerfeed box to feed. Bill's Custom Automatics in Shelby Ms has done a few and they work great. You can also get a stock inletted for a hindged floorplate with HFP bottom metal.
why is loading a PIA? I have no problem loading mine. You just push the bullet into the mag and voila! Don't see what the issue is. Now, finding stocks for it is a PIA.
or you can just change it over to a detachable box magazine

What all is involved changing to DBM? Will the box mag be SF? Also mine is a blind mag so there will be some alteration to the stock.Originally Posted by pdog06

just buy the centerfeed DBM hardware(a set is even available in our classified section right now), and then either buy a stock for a DBM or send your stock to Sharpshooter Supply and have them inlet it for you for about $50.
Actually, you could get the parts AND labor both from SSS.
