the effect of stock torque on scope zero

Just bought a model 11 in .243 and I like it very much.

I already have the scope zero set where I want it and I am going hunting on Friday.

I need to adjust the trigger to lighten it up. I have the walk through on how to do this but I will no be able to get back to the range before my hunting trip.

Should I be concerned with doing this before a trip or should I just get it done asap?

    Short answer. No

I've had stocks on and off dozens of times fiddleing with things and not lost zero. Don't get too carried away on the trigger without some range time though. It pays to put them through their paces in a safe location to avoid accidental discharges in the field.

Thanks, I'd not tried it before and wanted to ask someone who had tried it.

Of course I'm going to test the check out of it, unloaded.

The factory pull on the non-accutrigger models is really bad. Not as bad as my Weatherby Vanguard was. But bad.
